Magelungen's resource school in Jönköping caters to students who are in extensive need of special support and require a smaller context to benefit from education. The educational environment is well thought out and adapted based on the students' needs. The groups are small, the teacher density is high, and student health services are enhanced to give students the opportunity to develop in their studies and feel successful. The school's staff is engaged and has experience working with students who, for various reasons, have not thrived in their previous schools. We have a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working with the whole and building on what works. Our goal is to provide a context where all students can have a chance to succeed based on their conditions.

About the Position

As a special education teacher with a qualification in mathematics at Magelungen, you will actively work in the school environment alongside your special education role, responsible for part-time teaching (50% at start). The focus is on strengthening, affirming, and supporting students both in teaching and outside the classroom. You will work closely with school management, other educators, student health services, and treatment coordinators (social workers and behavioral scientists) by starting from the students' competencies, strengths, and resources and utilizing these to practice what is difficult.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed special education teacher with qualifications in mathematics 4-9. You have previous experience working in primary education. It is important that you are flexible and want to be part of a context where collaboration with your colleagues is a central part of the assignment. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You find it motivating to work with school development, special educational issues, new research, and are open to thinking in new ways. The school is exclusively aimed at students with extensive needs for special support, so we would like you to have experience working with this specific student category. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

A criminal record extract (suspicions and offenses) will be requested - form.
