Lead Teacher at Junedal and Attarp's Adapted Primary School

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the municipality's development with more residents, more housing, and a larger offering. We are always on the lookout for new skills - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

The joy of learning starts with you.

Do you want to contribute to equitable education, higher goal fulfillment, and inspire a joyful learning experience? Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching role? Then this job is for you!

“We need to ensure that the most skilled and experienced teachers can work in the schools where they can make the most difference. Investing in more and better-paid lead teachers and lecturers in schools with challenging conditions can increase equality and knowledge outcomes.” Anna Ekström, Minister of Education.

The Swedish National Agency for Education has designated Junedal and Attarp's adapted primary school as a prioritized school/principal area where more salary resources are allocated to lead teachers. The assignment as a lead teacher is a three-year appointment with a permanent position as a teacher underneath. As a lead teacher at Junedal and Attarp's adapted primary school, you will have an additional appointment for one year at a time.

Your new job

As a lead teacher, you will be a driving force in development and pedagogical issues and have a key role in leading collegial learning. You will primarily work with teaching and tasks related to teaching. You will initiate and drive projects aimed at developing teaching and be a good role model for the team in everyday pedagogical work.

You will systematically work to plan, implement, follow up, analyze, and thus improve teaching and develop the operations. The teaching will be characterized by language-developing methods and accessible learning, as these are fundamental to students' learning and development.

In your role as a lead teacher at Junedal and Attarp's adapted primary school, the focus will be on developing students' ability to make conscious and independent choices as well as social development for a dignified community life. The starting point is the curriculum's cross-subject knowledge area of sexuality, consent, and relationships, as well as preventing vulnerability and strengthening independence for our students. In this work, you will drive development and guide educators in teaching within the area and be a sounding board for pedagogical questions for new educators in adapted primary school. Your role as a lead teacher means that you are an important part of the school's development work/SKA work and are part of the school's school development group. Therefore, we see that you have relevant education and experience in the area of sexuality, consent, and relationships, and the adapted primary school's curriculum.

The assignment as a lead teacher is a three-year appointment, where you also have a permanent position as a teacher at Junedal and Attarp's adapted primary school.
