Handskerydsskolan is seeking a licensed teacher in mathematics and science for teaching grades 4–6. The position means that you will be part of a developing school where knowledge, safety, and joy are fundamental values, and where strong collegial collaboration is a central part of the operations.

About the Organization

Handskerydsskolan is a K-6 school with approximately 320 students characterized by competent staff, a strong sense of community, and continuous structured development work. The school is facing an exciting future with a new school building underway and has a clear focus on developing teaching and learning environments to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being.

As part of the school's development work, Handskerydsskolan participates in IBIS - Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools, a model aimed at creating safe, predictable, and inclusive learning environments for all students. IBIS is based on a school-wide effort with positive behavioral support and is a Swedish further development of the evidence-based models SW-PBIS and PALS, designed to strengthen study peace, positive school culture, and students' social skills.

• plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on current governing documents
• be part of a work team and contribute to collegial learning
• actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and development processes

• maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed teacher with qualifications in mathematics and science for grades 4–6
• has good didactic ability and confidence in their subject knowledge
• works in a structured manner and enjoys collegial working methods
• easily establishes professional relationships
• wants to contribute to school development and thrives in an environment with a clear forward momentum

Personal qualities such as collaboration skills, relationship-building competence, and a professional approach will be given great importance.
