Welcome to apply for the position of study and career counselor at Finnvedens Gymnasium in Värnamo.

Finnvedens Gymnasium is a municipal upper secondary school with approximately 1200 students and 12 national programs. The school is organized into five school units where you will currently work towards the Technology and Entrepreneurship sectors.

Responsibilities

As a study and career counselor at FiGy, you work closely with the students and play an important role in providing them with the best conditions for success in their studies. In the role of study and career counselor, you will meet students individually and in groups, in the classroom and via digital channels. You guide and encourage students in their study situation and highlight the possible paths to working life and further studies. In the role of SYV, you will also be part of the student health team.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have experience in study and career counseling at the upper secondary level, preferably with good knowledge of upper secondary school programs, eligibility rules, and transitions to further studies. Experience in student health work, collaboration with the labor market, and APL issues is valuable. It is also an advantage if you have worked with students in need of support, held information meetings, and worked in student administrative systems. Digital competence and experience in creating clear informational materials are also a plus.

Conditions

We work with ongoing selection and interviews. The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made. Start date according to agreement.
