Stora Segerstad Agricultural Center is now looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher in forestry machinery. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable forestry industry while developing the next generation of machine operators.

The role of vocational teacher in forestry machinery

As a forestry machinery instructor, you will be responsible for teaching about forestry machines and technology, both theoretically and practically. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with course goals and the school's quality requirements, guiding students in practical tasks as well as during their workplace-based learning (APL). In your work, you will be close to the students and help them develop their professional skills, safety awareness, and pride in their profession. You will also collaborate with colleagues and industry contacts and actively contribute to the school's development work. You will be offered a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon.

Your future workplace

At Stora Segerstad Agricultural Center, you will work in modern facilities and have access to equipment such as two harvesters, seven forwarders, as well as several simulators and fixed cranes. We also have workshops and training facilities specifically adapted for our forestry education. Field training takes place at various locations in the Gislaved, Gnosjö, and Värnamo regions, where we carry out real logging assignments. You will be part of a team of teachers and instructors who together create a learning environment where both students and colleagues can develop.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with relevant education or documented experience in forestry machinery and good professional experience from the forestry sector. You possess pedagogical skills and a genuine interest in working with youth. At the same time, you are responsible, self-driven, and good at collaborating. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as English is required, along with a B driver's license, preferably enhanced. Formal pedagogical education or qualifications are meritorious but not a requirement. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
