Do you want to be involved in developing a diversity of activities in the cultural field such as choirs, pop/rock, and other creative expressions under Bilda's auspices and in collaboration with churches?

We are looking for someone to work as a Business Developer focusing on culture in Kalmar, Kronoberg, and Blekinge.

Bilda is a study association that offers study circles, cultural programs, and other social meeting places. Our mission is to harness the drive of our member organizations (free churches, Orthodox and Catholic churches), partners, and individual people to enable ideas and initiatives that lead to education, participation, and development for individuals and society. Bilda Sydöst is one of six regions in the Study Association Bilda with activities in Jönköping, Kalmar, Kronoberg, Blekinge, and Östergötland.

About the position Your main task will be to be responsible for parts of Bilda's cultural and popular education work and the development of this. You will create and develop activities within various creative expressions, from choirs and dance to pop/rock, and support church initiatives and collaborations. The work as a Business Developer is relational – you seek new and maintain existing contacts to collaboratively develop cultural and educational activities. The role includes initiating, implementing, and following up on activities both independently and in collaboration with our member organizations. You will recruit, train, and introduce circle leaders and ensure they receive continuous support in their work. The job includes several administrative tasks.

You will be part of a region of engaged colleagues working with popular education within our three profile areas: culture, church, and society, and you will primarily relate to a cultural team and another colleague in the cultural field in Kalmar. The role offers good opportunities for independent work and personal responsibility.

Requirements - we are looking for someone who:

  • has at least a high school education.

  • has good knowledge of culture and the music scene in Kalmar, Kronoberg, and Blekinge, as well as experience in organizing cultural events.

  • has experience collaborating with churches, civil society, and the public sector.

  • is innovative, relationship-building, and interested in developing new cultural and educational activities.

  • plans and organizes your work in a structured way and has good administrative skills, preferably with project management experience.

  • has skills and experience in leadership development, is pedagogical, and is comfortable speaking in front of groups.

  • has good digital skills and system familiarity; is a regular user of social media, the Office suite, and Microsoft Teams.

  • has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

  • is a secure person with integrity, who has a strong personal drive to work independently to achieve set goals.

  • has good collaboration skills with patience and curiosity about differing opinions.

  • has a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • relevant post-secondary education, e.g., in one of the areas of culture, pedagogy, social work, or project management.

  • experience in popular education and/or work in the non-profit sector/civil society/association life.

  • experience working with diversity issues, youth culture, accessibility, and/or folk music.

  • knowledge and networks within the free church.

  • experience as a circle leader for a study circle.

To succeed in the role, you need to have several years of relevant work experience. Access to a car is a plus, as our activities are spread across the region and the work involves some travel. Employment form: Permanent employment (we apply a 6-month probationary period) Extent: 100% (the extent can be discussed if needed) Desired start date: 2026-04-01 (or by agreement)
