Bäckaskolan is a K-9 school with an attached after-school program. In grades K-6, there are nearly 300 students from Gnosjö and Nissafors and surrounding areas. In grades K-6 and in the after-school program, we are about 40 educators working based on the vision "We build foundations for life".

The school has an after-school program for students aged 6-12 years. We work closely with the preschool class and the teachers in grades 1-6, doing our utmost to provide children with opportunities for development during their free time and to offer stimulating elements in the students' everyday lives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will serve as educational support for individual students or small groups of students, as well as teach in the after-school program. The goal is to create continuity to establish a good school environment throughout the student's entire school day.

You will work consciously to ensure that students feel safe and enjoy their time at school and in the after-school program. In collaboration with colleagues, you will follow up, analyze, and find measures to improve the operations. The role also includes contact with guardians and student welfare staff, as well as daily administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have a teaching degree and teaching certification. Previous experience in educational work and/or working with children and young people is considered an advantage. We place great emphasis on social competence, personal suitability, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other staff.

You are well-grounded in educational research and possess the ability to communicate with both students and their guardians based on that.
