Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value cooperation and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, better utilize resources, improve quality, and provide better service to residents. Today, we have a range of different activities that work for the benefit of the entire Höglandet.

One of the activities within Höglandsförbundet is Höglandsgymnasiet. Höglandsgymnasiet has schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have about 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in the workforce or for further studies.

Your new job

We are looking for a care teacher who is genuinely interested in people and passionate about building knowledge in others. With us, you will work in a knowledgeable and committed program team, closely collaborating with students and student health. The position as a care teacher includes teaching, mentorship, and possibly a role as APL coordinator for Höglandet.

As a teacher, you work to create the best possible conditions for students to achieve their goals. You have a strong ability to build trust and good relationships. You prepare students for their APL and vary theoretical presentations with practical, real-world moments.

About you

Primarily, we are looking for a qualified care teacher with professional experience in healthcare. If you lack a teaching license, it is desirable that you are studying to become a qualified vocational teacher. It is an advantage if you are a licensed nurse.

We are looking for someone who is solution-focused, collaborative, values quality, and can create a positive atmosphere at work, both as a teacher, colleague in your subject and program team, and school management. You are also confident, stable, and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Collaboration and co-planning occur continuously with colleagues, work teams, and the entire school, as we strive to gain a holistic view of students' knowledge development and needs. Meeting each student from a relational perspective and having high, reasonable expectations for each individual are fundamental ideas that are important to us.

It is very important that you have good didactic skills, a solid understanding of the care and welfare sector, and can motivate and engage students.

You should be accustomed to working with ICT, as we operate through digital learning platforms such as Haldor and Edlevo. You have a B driver's license.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the right qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education that is no older than two months.
