Investigator for the Analysis Department at IVO

Do you want to make a societal impact and contribute to safer healthcare and social services by developing state supervision and licensing? The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is now seeking investigators for the Analysis Department.

About the Job

As an investigator, you will work on developing, analyzing, and communicating knowledge bases within government assignments and projects initiated by the authority itself. The work involves qualified investigative work aimed at highlighting important observations from our operations in reports and other written products. In projects, you will be responsible for planning, structuring, and conducting data collections, analyses, and follow-ups. You will also contribute with environmental monitoring and efforts for operational development.

The work is team-based, and you often handle several assignments simultaneously in close collaboration with various professions and functions within the authority. The nature of the assignments varies, and you will alternate between leading the work, coordinating efforts, and being responsible for reporting and analysis.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm, but organizational conditions may allow for other placements. Travel in the job may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • an academic university or college degree in a relevant subject area for the position
  • several years of current experience in independent investigative and analytical work within public administration
  • experience writing reports and qualified knowledge bases
  • experience leading larger projects, both internally and in collaboration with relevant parties
  • good analytical ability to translate information and data into relevant conclusions for the organization
  • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

To succeed in this role, you are communicative and can convey analyses and assessments clearly, both orally and in writing. You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and enjoy working with others to achieve common goals. You have the ability to switch between different assignments and tasks and manage several parallel processes. You have a good overall perspective and well-developed judgment, allowing you to look beyond the immediate, see connections, and weigh different perspectives in analysis and reporting. Furthermore, you are proactive and driven, see what needs to be done, and actively contribute to progress in both assignments and development work.

In the recruitment process, we will place great importance on personal qualities and abilities.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • a master's degree or other higher education in a relevant subject area for the position
  • current knowledge of healthcare, dental care, and/or social services operations
