Recruiter at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.

Within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, there are more than 70 different professional roles, mostly correctional officers, but also caseworkers, investigators, nurses, production leaders, transport planners, chefs, teachers, and many more. The recruitment group in Stockholm is part of the national HR organization but works regionally within Stockholm County to supply prisons, remand centers, the transport department, and probation offices with the employees they need. The recruitment group in Stockholm consists of 20 recruiters, one expert, one caseworker, and one group manager. The HR department as a whole employs about 300 people distributed across the country.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With prisons, remand centers, probation offices, and our transport department as your clients, your focus will be on volume recruitment of correctional officers. This means you will recruit between 10-50 correctional officers in a single advertisement. As time allows, you will also work on recruiting other employee roles. You will work with one or two of our operational areas where you are the contact person and the one who operationally coordinates the recruitment processes of that area. You will conduct kickoff meetings, publish advertisements, make selections, plan and conduct interviews, and, if applicable, security vetting interviews, manage administration, and everything related to the recruitment process. You will collaborate closely with the managers and HR officers in your operational area, as well as with your colleagues in the recruitment group.

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service recruits several thousand new employees and seasonal workers each year. This means we are looking for someone who thrives in a job that has pace and excitement, where you are part of a team and context, while also driving your own assignments with great independence and providing the best possible service to our clients. The recruitment group has a climate where we take responsibility for our common mission by sharing important information, valuing honest communication, and being generous in sharing knowledge while accepting differences, and we want new colleagues who contribute in the same way.

Your workplace is located in new and nice premises at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's regional office in Liljeholmen, but you will regularly work locally in the operational area you collaborate with. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service applies the possibility of signing remote work agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS
