At the Swedish Work Environment Authority, we work together to ensure that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies due to work. Therefore, we assist employers in meeting the existing requirements and inform how work environment efforts become a natural part of everyday life. Based on the Work Environment Act, we develop regulations, inspect workplaces, and disseminate knowledge about work environment issues. The mission is serious, but our everyday life is characterized by joy at work, and we are caring and helpful colleagues.
Your new job
At the Information Management Unit, 18 employees work. We manage and support the entire information management process by registering, disclosing, and archiving the authority's documents. The unit includes registrars, document controllers, archivists, case handlers for the disclosure of public documents, system administrators, and information strategists. We also manage the authority's diary and E-archive and actively participate in efforts to streamline our operations through new digital methods.
As a registrar with us, you will register public documents that come to the authority and support the authority's case handlers in registration issues. You are the hub of the authority's information flow, and it is important that you understand the supportive role of the registrar in an organization. We have large volumes to register, maintain a high service level, and the pace can sometimes be high. If necessary, you will also disclose public documents and work on other issues handled within our unit.
In the role of registrar, it is important that you familiarize yourself with how our organization functions and its mission to best support the operations. In this role, you also need to have patience and the ability to work concentrated on a task for extended periods. Digitalization is a natural part of our development work, and we primarily work with digital information within the registry.
Your background
The role requires that you have:
- A relevant academic degree of at least 180 credits according to the new system. If you have relevant work experience, other education may also be assessed as equivalent.
- At least 1 year of current experience working as a registrar or archivist in public operations.
- Good knowledge of the principle of public access, registration, and case management.
- Good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing public operations regarding, for example, registration and disclosure of public documents.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Education in archival science
- Experience working in an organization with large digital case flows
As a person, we see that you will thrive and succeed in the role if you are detail-oriented, meticulous, and ensure that work is done in a structured manner. You are confident in your ability to handle change and solve challenges independently on your own initiative. With us, you work in a team, which makes collaboration and communication important. In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on your personal competencies.
Employment with us may mean that the position is placed in a security class. Security clearance with or without background checks may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required. Security clearance is conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
What we offer you
The Swedish Work Environment Authority is a secure employer and an authority that is constantly changing with the society we operate in. We are proud to use our knowledge and trust in our important societal mission. Together, we create an inclusive culture that encompasses heart, courage, and intellect. With us, you become an important part of something greater.
The employment is a permanent position, full-time, and is currently located at our office in Solna. We apply individual salary setting and a six-month probationary period.
We strive for all employees to have a sustainable work environment and a balance between work and leisure. Therefore, we offer flexible working hours or apply trust-based working hours and provide the opportunity for remote work where the business allows.
About us and our benefits and conditions
How we recruit
We use competency-based recruitment, both to ensure the quality of the recruitment and to counteract discrimination. Therefore, we ask you to only attach a CV and answer a few questions instead of a personal letter when you register your application. Since we work competency-based, we also use psychological tests in this recruitment. Interviews will take place from the end of week 8.
We believe it is important for you to also assess us. Therefore, we welcome questions both before and during the recruitment process. Union contacts are Adam Jansson for Saco, Eva Parissay for ST, and Jenny Bengtsson for Seko. All can be reached via the Swedish Work Environment Authority's switchboard: 010-730 90 00.
Do you want to work with us to ensure that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies due to work?
Welcome with your application by February 11, 2026!
The recruitment is handled by the Swedish Work Environment Authority's recruitment function, so we kindly decline sales calls from recruitment companies or ad sellers.
