About the Job
As a bailiff inspector, you primarily work with investigating assets and making decisions on appropriate enforcement actions. You have an impartial role, helping those who wish to get paid and providing support and advice to those who need to pay.
You start your employment as an apprentice, and after successful training and practice, you will receive the title of bailiff inspector. The training lasts about a year and includes legal studies, customer interaction, and communication techniques.
The tasks are of varying scope and complexity. The cases you handle require speed and efficiency while maintaining quality. With the support of laws and regulations, you assess the information and make decisions. You work both in and outside the office, where you investigate the debtor's assets and carry out evictions.
Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and informing other authorities about suspected crimes. As a bailiff inspector, you may discover various types of criminality while out on assignments and participating in collaborative efforts with other authorities. This can result in your contribution to stopping money laundering and preventing organized crime.

You can handle challenging situations and make the right decisions even under pressure. This requires you to be self-assured, stable, and trustworthy when interacting with people in vulnerable situations. You work results-oriented, show decisiveness, and focus on what needs to be achieved. You communicate easily and are pedagogical in your interactions with customers. You have analytical skills that allow you to see connections and find the most effective solutions. You adapt to circumstances and changes that occur.
Your Qualifications:
- Higher education with at least 180 credits (120 points according to the old system) in law, economics, social sciences, or another equivalent higher education.
- Driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses – a society where debts and other claims are established and collected in a legally secure manner.
With us, you can expect challenging tasks that are also developmental for you. When you leave work at the end of the day, you can be sure that you have done something that truly counts – both for others and for yourself.

We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also posed to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained is considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security assessment with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For some of our tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
