Instructor for Sola Unit

We are looking for an instructor for the Sola Unit at the Employment and Social Administration, Department of Integration, Support, and Work.

The Sola Unit is primarily focused on municipal labor market issues in Karlstad and supports individuals on their path to employment or studies. The unit includes the operations Solareturen, Activity Center, and support for self-sufficiency at Sola Building Reuse.

Job Responsibilities

The Sola Unit's operations at Solareturen and Sola Building Reuse have the mission to support individuals on their path to self-sufficiency. Our target group is broad, and individuals are at different distances from the labor market. The mission includes various forms of work training, and we use BIP as a tool and solution-focused approach as a mindset. We work with motivational and coaching interventions, both individually and in groups, labor market employment, and other interventions.

We are now looking for an instructor who will be placed at Solareturen. The path to employment and studies can vary, and it is your task to closely plan with the individual to find a way forward. An individual plan is made with each person, and documentation is done in the operational system VIVA. Your task consists of guiding, motivating, and supporting participants in their process towards self-sufficiency. Our practical operation consists of a second-hand store where we collect and prepare building materials, equipment, furniture, etc., for sale and reuse. You will work closely with a job consultant, and together you will help participants reach their full potential.

Qualifications

A high school education is required.

It is advantageous if you have work experience in social work and labor market issues, as well as practical experience and/or education in BIP, Motivational Interviewing, Supported Employment, Solution-Focused Working Methods, etc.

As a person, you are outgoing, clear, a good and patient listener, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You are good at meeting individuals with different needs, functional variations, and from different cultures. You can clearly instruct and motivate but also take a step back and allow the individual to find their own solutions.

You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, be comfortable making new contacts, and work with individuals both in groups and individually. We strive for diversity in our staff group and place great emphasis on personal suitability.
