Description

Skogsgläntan is an LSS residence where customers have various functional variations and comorbidities.

The residence has 8 apartments and a large shared indoor area. Skogsgläntan is located on the outskirts of Sunne center, close to magnificent nature and the city center. In daily work, in addition to regular tasks within LSS, being involved in creating a meaningful life for the residents also includes a significant amount of care, as many of the customers have substantial support needs to have a functioning everyday life. The work is based on a lot of personal responsibility and participation from you, along with a large portion of communication within the workgroup. Support is available from a nurse, occupational therapist, and social responsible coordinator, as well as a coordinator for schedules and working hours. Guidance will be offered to the workgroup, and a plan for ongoing education exists, all based on the needs that arise.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a change process and design new working methods to better meet the customers' needs. We are looking for someone who wants to work to make the residents' everyday lives more understandable, meaningful, manageable, and rich in content. In the role of habilitation assistant, your responsibility is to support the customer in achieving as independent a life as possible based on their needs. You will act as support in daily life regarding care, social matters, healthcare contacts, etc. You will be part of an environment where high demands are placed on cooperation and accountability. The work also includes creating and maintaining good contact with relatives, guardians, and other people in the customer's vicinity. You will work with methods such as clear pedagogy and low-arousal responses. Your assignment will include a contact person role where you have overall responsibility for the customer's planning, follow-up, and collaboration; our documentation is done in Lifecare.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a suitable completed and approved three-year upper secondary education in health and care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have experience working within LSS and/or psychiatry. You should have experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors. You have computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement. Experience with clear pedagogy/pedagogical methods/ACC (alternative augmentative communication) and low-arousal responses is an advantage. We see a professional and humble attitude and approach as a given. You are positive and solution-focused, enjoy taking responsibility, have a strong commitment to people, and possess good collaboration skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A valid B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

Conditions

The working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Sunne applies a fragrance- and tobacco-free working time.
