Description

We are looking for a social worker for the Adult Unit as one of our employees is moving on to another position within the administration.

At the Adult Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with people in difficult life situations - and be a part of their journey towards change. We work with adults who need support regarding harmful use and addiction as well as violence in close relationships. We also handle issues related to financial assistance and social contracts, which makes the work both broad and meaningful.

We have organized the work within the Adult Unit into different functions to create clarity and coordination. There is a reception function that handles new cases for the entire unit, processing of financial assistance with a special focus on coordination, as well as financial assistance with some coordination. We also have specialized roles within violence in close relationships and work with adults living with harmful use.

Currently, it is not determined in which area you will work, as it will be decided based on the needs of the operation and your competence. Regardless of placement, you will be an important part of our team and contribute to providing people with support and guidance in vulnerable life situations.

Responsibilities

As a social worker at the Adult Unit, you will have a varied and developing assignment where you meet people with respect, attentiveness, and commitment. You will work with investigations and decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM) and follow up on interventions. You will collaborate closely with other municipal operations, such as the municipality's labor market unit, Säffle Learning Center's Adult Education, Social Psychiatry's outpatient care, the Children and Youth Unit, healthcare providers, psychiatry, and addiction care. You will have close contact with clients, where you offer support, guidance, and motivational work. You are an important part of creating security and stability, both through conversation support and through concrete interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another academic education that the employer assesses as equivalent and who also has a genuine interest in people. You are confident in your professional role, have an easy time collaborating and communicating, and enjoy working both independently and in a team. If you have experience in authority exercise within the adult area, it is a plus, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and the desire to make a difference.
