Description

Skogsgläntan is an LSS residence where clients have various disabilities and comorbidities.

The residence has 8 apartments and a large common indoor area. Skogsgläntan is located on the outskirts of Sunne center, close to magnificent nature and the town center. In addition to regular LSS tasks, the work includes being involved in creating a meaningful life for the residents, as many clients have significant care needs to achieve a functioning daily life. The work is based on a lot of personal responsibility and participation from you, along with a strong portion of communication within the workgroup. Support is available from a nurse, occupational therapist, and coordinator for schedules and working hours.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to participate in a change process and develop new working methods to better meet the clients' needs. We seek someone who wants to work to make the residents' daily lives more understandable, meaningful, manageable, and rich in content. As a habilitation assistant, your responsibility is to support the client in achieving as independent a life as possible based on their needs. You will function as support in daily life regarding care, social matters, health care contacts, etc. You will be part of a context where high demands are placed on cooperation and responsibility. The work also includes establishing and maintaining good contact with relatives, guardians, and other people close to the client. You will work with methods such as clear pedagogical approaches and low-arousal responses. In your role, you will be involved in the client's planning, follow-up, and collaboration; our documentation is done in Lifecare.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a suitable completed and approved three-year upper secondary education in health and care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You should have experience working within LSS and/or psychiatry. Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors is preferred. You have computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Experience with clear pedagogical methods/pedagogical approaches/ACC (alternative augmentative communication) and low-arousal responses is an advantage. We expect a professional and humble attitude and approach. You are positive and solution-focused, enjoy taking responsibility, have a strong commitment to people, and possess good collaboration skills. Personal suitability will be given great importance. A valid B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

Conditions

Working hours are scheduled for night shifts. Sunne applies a fragrance- and tobacco-free working time. There may be pets among the tenants, so you should not have allergies to pets. Interviews and hiring may occur continuously during the application period.
