Job Responsibilities
In the role of land negotiator, you are a specialist in land access issues in the Swedish Transport Administration's road and railway projects such as the Ostlänken program and/or investment projects. You are the link between the Swedish Transport Administration and individual landowners, municipalities, authorities, and other stakeholders.
The land negotiator works in all phases of the projects, from planning to completed construction. This, along with the various characteristics of the projects, means that the work has a wide scope and that the issues vary. Some examples of tasks that you will perform independently and in collaboration with your colleagues:
- Assessing and negotiating compensation for intrusion and damages
- Drafting property law agreements
- Contacting affected property owners, both physically and digitally
- Representing the Swedish Transport Administration in land survey proceedings and other authority contacts

For us, it is essential that you get a good start to succeed in the role, and as a newly hired land negotiator, you will participate in our internal training package.
The position may involve work outside office hours as well as travel.

In this recruitment, computer-based tests are used as part of the selection process.
The first interviews are scheduled to be held via Skype in week 9.
Qualifications
Who are you?
To thrive and succeed in the role of land negotiator, we expect you to be a communicative person, skilled both at listening and conveying messages in an understandable way. Since the role involves extensive contacts, we emphasize the importance of establishing trusting relationships in external collaborations, as well as being flexible and relationship-oriented with your colleagues to contribute to a positive work environment. The tasks include not only teamwork but also independent work, which means you need to have the ability to take your own initiatives. It is also important that you work in a structured and meticulous manner to ensure the quality of your work. Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are also necessary in the role, and we view these skills positively.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in surveying/planning or a law degree with a focus on property law, or another higher education degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) combined with relevant work experience that we consider equivalent
- Current and relevant work experience in property law issues
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- A valid driver's license for passenger cars
