Job Description

At Randstad, we are looking for an engaged and technically driven development engineer for an exciting consulting assignment at Siemens Energy in Finspång. In this role, you will work on the development and improvement of the acoustic system for advanced energy solutions. You will contribute to maintaining system standards, improving processes, working on cost reduction, and delivering detailed technical solutions.

The role involves many interfaces both internally and externally, and you will have significant interaction with other disciplines, such as groups within Development & Standard, R&D, purchasing, order design, service, and subcontractors. The majority of tasks are project-based, which means a dynamic and varied work environment in a global and innovative setting. We are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with several years of experience in a similar role. You are analytical, driven, and enjoy solving technical challenges. As a team player, you value collaboration and thrive in a global environment with a large network. Furthermore, you are a skilled communicator in both Swedish and English and have a structured approach that enables you to manage complex technical projects successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Development and optimization of components such as air intakes, ventilation, CFD, enclosure, LER (Local Equipment Room), bellows, and chimneys.
  • Contribute to maintaining system standards and improving processes.
  • Participate in cost reduction and deliver detailed technical solutions.
  • Work in project form with many internal and external interfaces, including collaboration with other disciplines such as R&D, purchasing, order design, service, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in projects to develop solutions that meet technical requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
  • Have several years of relevant experience from a similar role in the development of mechanical or acoustic systems.
  • Be analytical, motivated, and enjoy solving technical problems.
  • Be a driven problem solver who can work independently but also thrives in a team.
  • Have the ability to navigate in a global environment with many contact points.
  • Have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
