Do you want to work in a role where your expertise in payroll truly makes a difference? At Vindex, we are now looking for a payroll specialist for an exciting role with one of our clients. Here you will have the opportunity to step into an important phase, contribute your knowledge from day one, and ensure a qualitative and efficient payroll delivery.

During the first six months, you will work as a consultant through us at Vindex, after which you will transition to a permanent position with the client – provided that the collaboration is successful.

About the role

As a payroll specialist, you will be solely responsible for payroll and pension management, working with the entire payroll process. You will work both operationally and developmentally - ensuring that processes, routines, and systems are adapted for correct, efficient, and quality-assured payroll management. The role involves close collaboration with both internal contacts and external parties.

The job offers some flexibility, while you are expected to be present in the office for most of the workweek to contribute to collaboration and continuity.

Main responsibilities

• Be responsible for payroll management, including your own payroll preparation and handling communication with external payroll providers for part of the salaries
• Ensure correct and qualitative reporting to authorities
• Interpretation and application of local agreements, labor laws, and tax regulations
• Administration of pensions, benefits, and other compensations
• Handling discrepancies, controls, and follow-up of payroll data
• Provide support to managers and employees in payroll-related questions
• Work proactively on improvement and efficiency efforts within the payroll process
• Actively contribute to system optimization and further development of working methods and routines

Qualifications

• High school education and further training as a payroll specialist or equivalent, alternatively several years of experience in qualified payroll administrative work
• Previous experience as a payroll specialist for at least 5 years
• Good system skills and experience working in payroll systems, Excel, and the Office suite as well as Kontek
• Good understanding of labor law, payroll legislation, and collective agreements
• Experience in payroll work within an agency is an advantage
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
