The HR department at LTH is located at the faculty's office and has 21 employees with various functions and competencies. We place great importance on sharing and learning from each other. Together, we support LTH's managers and leadership and drive the work on HR issues forward. We strive to adapt our work based on the operations and conduct much of the daily work according to the principle of balanced operational proximity, where we are close to the operations but also have the opportunity to bring questions back to colleagues in the department.
The Role
As an HR partner at Lund University, your main responsibility is to guide managers in HR matters related to their managerial assignments. Lund University defines the manager's role in three parts: employer, leader, and operational manager, and you contribute an HR perspective in all three roles. Within the university, many managers have their managerial assignments for a limited time, which means that the HR function, together with management, works for continuity in employer policy issues. Lund University is a decentralized organization, and HR functions operate at institutional, faculty, and university-wide levels.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility
As an HR partner at LTH, you work independently and broadly within the HR area, including recruitment, labor law, interpretation of laws and agreements, work environment, negotiations, wage formation issues, restructuring, and rehabilitation. You provide consultative and operational support to our managers at institutions and other operations and are a natural partner to HR administrators, other HR partners, LTH management, and the university's HR organization. You also contribute to a constructive dialogue with the trade unions.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who enjoys working consultatively. You are confident in your professional role and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to solve daily questions and challenges. The role requires you to organize and structure your work independently and drive processes forward. It is also important that you have analytical skills, good communication skills, and the ability to build networks and relationships.
Requirements for Employment:
- Higher education in personnel and labor issues or education and/or experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience working consultatively, operationally, and strategically within HR matters.
- Experience working with competency-based recruitment.
- Good knowledge of labor law.
- Ability to develop and conduct workshops or shorter training sessions for managers and employees.
- Good experience working with HR support systems.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
- Good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
Desirable for Employment:
- Experience working with HR issues in the public sector and/or another larger organization, preferably in an international environment.
- Knowledge of the state agreement area.
- Experience planning and conducting courses/shorter training sessions.

Other
The employment is a temporary position for one year and one month with a workload of 100%, starting on March 1, 2025.
