Region Skåne has taken over the assignment and is now operating Läkarbilen Skåne independently since September 2024. Läkarbilen offers home visits to those who, for various reasons, cannot come to our healthcare facilities. The visits performed are primarily for confirming deaths, care certificate assessments, as well as medical assessments and support for nurses within municipal healthcare. We collaborate with municipal healthcare, ambulances, police, health centers, and mobile teams for primary care.

Läkarbilen is staffed by doctors and nursing assistants, but the team also includes medical secretaries, with approximately 30 employees currently working in the team.

Home visits throughout Skåne are made around the clock every day of the year. The cars depart from Lund hospital area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of medical secretary, you will have various administrative tasks to support our other staff in their daily work. A typical work week includes, for example, telephone service, IT issues, journal management, and mail handling with document scanning. Journal documentation and dictation also occur, as well as document monitoring and filing.

With us, you will work on-site in Lund close to managerial support and unit manager, as well as in a team with doctors and nursing assistants. You will have several different administrative responsibilities that we adapt according to your skills, interests, and the needs of the organization. The various tasks provide a varied work experience with great opportunities for development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY or 400p YH or equivalent approved medical/doctor secretary education. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology, is required for the position. Since we work in PMO, Medspeach, and Pasis, it is an advantage if you have previous experience with these systems.
