The Adult Psychiatric Reception in Arlöv is a general psychiatric reception with about 25 employees divided into two teams. The reception serves the municipalities of Burlöv and Staffanstorp and is part of the adult psychiatry area in Lund. We assess, investigate, and treat people in need of specialist psychiatric competence. Our reception also has close collaboration with other units within the area and enjoys a very good partnership with collaborators in the municipalities. We are a wonderful group with great cohesion, a safe working environment, and a positive spirit in the team.

In the spring of 2024, we underwent an organizational change that resulted in the establishment of an administrative unit within the operation. This has meant that the unit includes administrative staff such as administrators and medical secretaries, with a working group of about 39 employees. For us, it is important to care for our colleagues, to help each other, and to uplift one another in our tasks. Your placement will primarily be at the Adult Psychiatric Reception in Arlöv but also overall in the Administrative Unit based on where the need arises.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary, you are an important part of the operation. Your good service makes a significant difference, and we value your skills in administration. The work is stimulating and varied, including tasks such as reception work, writing medical records in Melior, and handling mail and 1177. You will also register in Våps, manage telephone service, write certificates, and be responsible for referral management and referral conferences. The role involves being part of the team at the reception as well as any additional side tasks that may arise. You will have close collaboration with other medical secretaries and your colleagues within the Administrative Unit.

The role of the medical secretary is evolving, and Region Skåne is preparing for the implementation of the comprehensive digital platform Skånes Digitala Vårdsystem (SDV), which will replace several of today’s medical record systems. We are open and humble about the ongoing development this entails and would like you to contribute your skills and qualities to the change process.

Our operation also works to provide you with opportunities to develop within your area of work. The position is a permanent full-time employment with the possibility of part-time work.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a trained medical secretary with education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p (KY) or 400p (YH) or equivalent education. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Furthermore, you are an experienced computer user, preferably with knowledge of our systems Melior, PASiS/VåPs, and Raindance. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience working in psychiatric operations.

We are looking for someone who wants to be our face to the outside world. You have good communication skills, are service-oriented, and want to work to improve both care and the operation. Furthermore, we see that you have a sense of responsibility and good teamwork skills. Providing a good reception is important to you, as is working for a positive work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Assistive devices are tasked with managing assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the administration, there are also vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
