Blekinge Air Wing is looking for a Technical Services Administrator for the Wing Staff

Blekinge Air Wing is a unit that is constantly on the right path, and you will be a key person for the unit. Together, we create the capability to carry out operations both within and outside Sweden.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with logistics, particularly within the technical services functional area.

The Wing Staff supports the Wing Commander in leading and following up on operations, preparing decision-making materials, and also supporting other commanders within the unit. The Wing Staff A4 manages and functionally leads the logistics service within the wing.

Main Responsibilities:

You will be placed in A4 at the Wing Staff where your main task is to act as a Technical Services Administrator. This includes being a contact person and advisor as well as providing support within the material maintenance service. Examples of tasks include supporting the technical wing commander in planning, analysis, information, and follow-up within the material maintenance service.

Additionally, you will gather and provide information as requested by the technical commander for materials. Other examples of tasks include supporting and conducting supplementary training, assisting with deviations within technical services, and participating in operations, missions, and exercise planning regarding technical services.

Since logistics involves many stages and functions, you will have a broad work spectrum, which requires you to work independently in different time tempos.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with passing grades.
  • Good knowledge of the Armed Forces' maintenance systems and organization.
  • Familiarity with existing support systems for planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Driver's license (manual transmission).
  • The job requires you to have very good computer skills, as much of the work is conducted in the SAP (PRIO) system.

Meritorious:

  • Knowledge of and experience with PRIO and LIFT.
  • Higher driver's license category.
  • Knowledge within material maintenance in the Armed Forces.

Personal Qualities:

We are looking for someone with personal qualities characterized by great accuracy and good collaboration skills. You have a very good structure in your work and are used to working in different time tempos. You can handle a large amount of information and switch between different tasks throughout the day. While it is about managing existing work, you should also be open to identifying areas for improvement. It is also important that you have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

The position is a civilian employment (CVAT). The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period.

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

Blekinge Air Wing trains three combat units; two fighter squadrons with Jas 39 Gripen and a base unit. The fighter squadrons play an important role in protecting Sweden's airspace, which is called incident readiness. The base unit is the largest combat unit that contains everything needed to get the Gripen aircraft in the air. This includes maintenance of the aircraft, protection of the base, logistics, and operation of the airfield. The wing also trains the Air Force's only ranger unit, the air base rangers. Their task includes gathering information through reconnaissance and protecting the personnel and vehicles of the air combat forces.
