The switchboard is part of the customer service department. Within the customer service department, there is also customer service and central cash. We are a team of 25 employees with close collaboration and a clear customer perspective.

The Job

Region Blekinge's switchboard is the heart of our communication and is staffed around the clock at phone number 0455-73 10 00. As a switchboard operator with us, you are often the first contact and an important link between residents, care, and operations.

The role involves more than just answering and connecting calls. You have a responsible and varied assignment that also includes, among other things:

• Issuing e-cards
• Monitoring medical alarms
• Handling various property alarms and IT alarms during on-call hours

The work involves daily use of several different digital systems, which requires that you have good computer skills and find it easy to familiarize yourself with new systems.

As a switchboard operator, you will work according to a schedule with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts – perfect for those who appreciate variety and flexibility.

You will receive thorough training for six weeks, so you feel secure in the role before the summer period starts. We are also looking for temporary substitutes who can start working as early as spring.

About You

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education and has documented knowledge of English. Since Swedish is the corporate language of Region Blekinge, you need to have a very good ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing.

In the role of switchboard operator, you are confident, attentive, and person-centered in your approach. You enjoy having many points of contact and find it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships with both colleagues and those you meet in your work. The job requires that you are meticulous, responsible, and self-driven, while also being able to switch between different tasks in a sometimes fast-paced environment.

You have a strong sense of service and are motivated by helping others. If you have previous experience as a switchboard operator or in another service profession with customer or patient contact, we consider it an advantage.

We place great importance on personal suitability. Remember to attach grades or term grades from your high school or vocational education in your application.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a war position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About Region Service

Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is region service. Here, there are consolidated resources for regional properties, property technology, cleaning, logistics, meal service, central warehouse, and customer service. The primary mission of region service is to own, manage, and develop Region Blekinge's properties and leased premises. The area also provides and develops service functions within cleaning, meal, material, and textile supply.
