About Us

The Surgical Clinic at Blekingesjukhuset conducts extensive operations in surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology.

We have two inpatient departments in Karlskrona and three outpatient clinics, one of which is in Karlshamn. We also operate in radiology as well as in the operating rooms and emergency departments in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Together, we are over 200 employees. As a medical secretary at the Surgical Clinic, we work in different teams depending on placement.

The Job

We are now looking for a lively and curious employee for our oncology day care in Karlskrona.

As a medical secretary in day care, you play an important role in daily operations and are placed within the organization, which entails close collaboration with doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. There is also some patient contact, both in person and via phone.

Working as a medical secretary in day care is both stimulating and educational. The tasks are varied, and at times the pace is high. Main tasks will include writing medical records, handling mail, letters, certificates, referrals, and other documents. Other tasks include SVF registration and disease classification, as well as continuous contact with oncology services both in Kronoberg and Skåne.

Region Blekinge is now preparing to implement a new medical record system, Cambio Cosmic.

We collaborate with the county's YH education, and you will have the opportunity to mentor our medical secretary students.

Once you have completed your introduction and feel secure in your tasks, there is the possibility of remote work one day a week, provided it works within the service you provide.

About You

You have training as a medical secretary with very good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology. It is an advantage if you have training in disease classification. The work places high demands on service orientation, flexibility, collaboration, initiative, and independence.

As a person, you are meticulous, can organize and prioritize your work, and are attentive to contributing to a positive atmosphere in the workgroup. You enjoy varied tasks and are open to changes and development in your work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience is an advantage.

This recruitment will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
