Do you want to work with technology that makes a real difference for the environment? We are now looking for mechanical designers for an exciting consulting assignment at Alfa Laval in Flemingsberg. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of ballast water treatment systems, an important solution for protecting marine ecosystems worldwide.

Alfa Laval develops and delivers systems that purify ballast water on ships and prevent the spread of foreign organisms between different seas and ecosystems. The company currently has around 100,000 installed systems globally and recently launched a new system concept that is now to be industrialized.

A new system concept has been fully developed and the next step is to produce complete design and production documentation. In the role of mechanical designer, you will work closely with an experienced team and contribute throughout the design chain, from modeling to finished documentation for production.

Examples of tasks:

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings in Inventor

• Develop production documentation for manufacturing

• Design of:

  • Beam and plate structures

  • Pipe structures including pipe supports

  • Welded structures

• Ensure clear documentation and drawing materials for production

• Work with geometric tolerances and PDM systems

Requirements for the position:

• Very good experience with CAD in Inventor

• Experience in:

  • 3D modeling and 2D drawings

  • Beam construction

  • Pipe construction including pipe supports

  • Geometric tolerances

• Good understanding of and experience with PDM systems

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

• Self-driven, responsible, and comfortable taking responsibility for the whole

Meritorious:

• Experience with Sensei
