Plandent offers a full range of products to Swedish dentistry. Every day, we deliver consumables, equipment, service, and digital systems to dental clinics across the country. As a total supplier, we help our customers from idea to installation and offer service performed by certified technicians, leasing options, and smart digital services.

Our owner is the Finnish company Planmeca Oy, and we are part of the Plandent Division – the largest dental retail chain in Northern Europe. Planmeca is also the manufacturer of all heavy equipment (chairs, X-ray devices, and digital systems) that we sell. Planmeca is the world's largest privately owned manufacturer of dental equipment with sales worldwide.

Plandent in Sweden was founded in 1989, and today approximately 110 people work here. Our headquarters are located in Stockholm, but we have employees throughout the country.

In 2024, the operations of Plandent AB and KaVo Dental Nordic AB were merged by the parent company Planmeca. Plandent thereby becomes one of the largest dental suppliers in Sweden and the largest dental service organization in the Nordic region.

Job Responsibilities

Our service technicians are Plandent's face to the outside world and key players in the organization. If a clinic's equipment stops working or does not function properly, they cannot perform their duties, and that is where you as a service technician come into the picture. As a service technician, you will work primarily with troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on the world-class medical technology products sold by the company. You simply help our customers deliver good dental care.

Just as important as the technology is the treatment of customers – we help our customers focus on what they do best. Our customers are specialists with no margin for error, and therefore they also expect high quality from us.

Experience, Requirements, and Merits

Since you are mostly out visiting our customers, we place great emphasis on you being service-oriented and communicative, and understanding the importance of being an ambassador for the company when meeting its customers. You need to be comfortable handling customers and any questions they may have. Since you work largely under your own responsibility, it is important that you can work independently and drive your tasks forward, but also that you collaborate well with your colleagues. You thrive in a mobile job where your workday may need to be reprioritized, so you need to be flexible. Since we are a medical technology company, it is important that you are also very meticulous so that your work is performed correctly.

To succeed in your role as a service technician, you need to have the following qualities:

• Good communication skills. You understand that communication and a good relationship with customers are what create trust.
• Interest in people, technology, and the desire to learn new products.
• High school diploma, preferably within technology / electrical-telecom.
• Open, customer-focused, and accommodating towards changes, with an ability to adapt to new situations.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role as a field service technician is meritorious.
• Category B driver's license is required.
• You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Employment Type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.

Start: Immediately, subject to notice period.

Region: Stockholm, working from home, with work in nearby counties possible.

Salary: According to agreement.

Collective Agreement: Unionen.
