Do you want to work closely with technology and develop solutions at the intersection of software and hardware? At Combitech in Stockholm, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced embedded development, from circuit diagrams to finished code. We are looking for you with an interest in hardware-near programming, embedded systems, and modern communication protocols - and who want to be part of a team that together creates technology that makes a difference.
Your role as a hardware-near developer in C/C++
In the role of hardware-near programmer, you will develop real-time systems in C/C++ with responsibility for the entire chain within embedded development - from analyzing the hardware architecture and communication protocols to designing, optimizing, and implementing robust solutions, used in everything from advanced electronic systems to socially vital technology.
You will have the opportunity to build deep domain knowledge within defense technology, which means you will become an expert in the specific requirements and rules that govern our products and deliveries.
The work takes place in small, cross-disciplinary teams where you together create solutions that are integrated with hardware components. Code reviews, demos, and internal workshops are natural parts of the development process and enhance both knowledge sharing and quality assurance with us. The teams combine precision, creativity, and a genuine interest in the technology as a whole - all to develop products that contribute to a safer, more resilient, and sustainable society.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have experience with hardware-near programming in C/C++ and who are confident in reading and interpreting datasheets, circuit diagrams, and hardware specifications. You have a technical interest, are curious to learn new things, and appreciate working close to the hardware. It is an advantage if you have experience with different hardware architectures.
As a person, you work analytically and systematically and enjoy understanding how things connect deeply. You are curious, eager to absorb new knowledge, and appreciate the opportunity to develop within both software and hardware. The role involves close collaboration with other engineers and developers, so it is important that you are communicative and thrive in an environment where you learn from each other. You enjoy solving problems and have patience for debugging when systems behave unexpectedly, while also having the ability to see the big picture and how different parts of the system affect each other.
Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, it is required that you undergo and pass a security check with registry control.
Selection will take place after the application deadline due to summer holidays. We look forward to your application!
