About the Role

Do you want to take on a key role in the maintenance and further development of a business-critical data warehouse solution within a large and complex organization? We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who will become a central part of a team with shared responsibility for the client's data warehouse, collaborating closely with operations, development, and business units.

Responsibilities

• Map and document information flows and dependencies to surrounding systems
• Use SQL to analyze existing solutions, understand relationships, and identify areas for improvement
• Analyze and troubleshoot incoming incidents
• Coordinate and collaborate with operations and development partners
• Act as a technical requirements owner for the development team
• Work with test and release management
• Function as an architect within the existing solution and support governance and IT security
• Drive initiatives for improvement and decommissioning

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Strong proficiency in SQL and SSIS
• Good understanding of information modeling
• Experience with Azure Synapse and other Azure cloud services
• Experience with enterprise-wide decision support systems
• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and translate insights into business value
• Independent and structured work style
• Good understanding of testing, release, and quality assurance
• Experience from large, complex organizations with many stakeholders
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Tabular models and Power BI
• Databricks
• Agile development and working in train structures (SAFe)
