Maintenance Project Manager - Submarines

Your Role

As a Project Manager within the In Service Support Business Unit Submarines, you lead and coordinate work in our submarine maintenance projects. This may involve preventive and corrective maintenance, annual overhauls, as well as minor modifications. You collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally.

As a project manager, you are fully responsible for the assigned projects from preparation to delivery and final documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the overall maintenance projects
• Create and monitor time and activity plans for the project
• Cross-functional coordination of production activities
• Monitor costs, quality, and project delivery
• Assess needs and request resources both within and outside the company
• Report project progress continuously to the client

This is an independent and free role where significant responsibility lies with you to steer and drive your projects to completion together with and with the help of your colleagues.

The location is Muskö, but business travel will occur primarily to Karlskrona.

To thrive in working with maintenance projects, you must enjoy creating order in projects that often change in scope. It is important to be solution-oriented and adaptable within certain frameworks. Since the location is expanding, you as a person must be highly driven and outgoing.

Requirements

• Relevant university/college or vocational (YH/KY) education.
• Being a natural leader who lifts up the group and creates trust with both customers and colleagues.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written.
• Driver's license B.
• Experience in project management.

Merits

• Experience with maintenance projects.
• Leadership training, basic economic and commercial training, project administrative training.
• Formal project management training or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of ships (submarines highly meritorious).
• Knowledge of Saab support systems.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
