Your Qualifications

We are looking for both those with a teaching degree and those without a teaching degree who have previously worked in preschools, schools, or after-school programs.

Even those with other relevant leadership experience with children and youth are welcome to apply. Please note that recruitment for preschools is currently not taking place due to reduced demand.

You have a good pedagogical ability and a positive attitude towards children and students. You have a flexible approach to working hours as the job may involve being booked at a school at short notice. High adaptability and responsiveness are prerequisites for quickly acclimating to new environments and thus being able to contribute to a functioning operation. Furthermore, it is important that you are responsible, proactive, have good collaboration skills, and can set boundaries when necessary. To communicate with students, you need to have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Being a Substitute Teacher Means

• usually working on short assignments of 1-14 working days per task
• working with children/students at several different workplaces
• replacing regular staff during their absence
• your working hours are agreed upon based on the needs of the operation and your preferences
• having access to a mobile phone and/or computer to actively schedule in our staffing system. You will be contacted via SMS regarding short-term assignments, which means that many contacts occur at short notice, often on the same day as the need arises

Good to Know

To work in educational activities, a valid extract from the police's criminal record is required. The extract can be ordered digitally via the Police Authority's e-service if you have a digital mailbox. If you prefer a physical extract, we recommend ordering this when you submit your application, as the processing time is usually about two weeks.
