About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a substitute childcare worker, your mission is to ensure that every child is offered safe care, development, and learning.

Together, you will prioritize the child's best interests and meet all children based on their experiences and circumstances.

Through us at BSF Staffing Unit, you can be offered work as a childcare worker for monthly substitutes, ranging from approximately 1 to 6 months. The substitute position will be at one of the municipality's 52 preschools, either in Lund city or in one of our villages: Dalby, Veberöd, Genarp, Torna Hällestad, Södra Sandby, or Revingeby. We will place great emphasis on matching your skills to the assignment at the relevant preschool.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone who has complete and approved grades from high school or adult education as a childcare worker within the Child and Recreation program or other education deemed relevant by the employer. You should have at least two years of experience working in preschool activities. We consider it valuable if you have experience working with children with special needs and are comfortable using TAKK or other equivalent communication tools.

As a substitute, you are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances when needed. You should be able to work in different parts of Lund, both in Lund city and the surrounding villages. You should also be able to move between different departments in the preschool when required and actively work with both small and large children. You enjoy working in teams and find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships.

Staffing Unit

BSF Staffing Unit works to recruit and staff substitutes for our preschools. We fill the need for short-term substitutes when regular employees are absent due to illness/VAB, but also for planned absences such as vacation, training, or similar. In addition, we also fill monthly substitutes. Now there is an opportunity for you who are a trained childcare worker and can work on longer substitutes to submit an expression of interest. The number of substitutes is currently not fixed and may change as they can be claimed by employees with preferential rights.
