to apply for the job

Background

Eslöv Municipality has built up a school social team in recent years with very good results. Through close collaboration between schools, student health, and social services, we have succeeded in breaking social isolation, strengthening school attendance, and providing both students, families, and educators with comprehensive support in complex situations.

Now we are taking the next step:

Through a targeted initiative, we are expanding and further developing our school social work to intervene even earlier – before absenteeism becomes extensive and difficult to break. In a new ESF-funded project, we are creating an enhanced team that works preventively with students in grades 7–9 who show early signs of concerning absenteeism patterns.

About the project

The project Team for Problematic School Attendance will be implemented from 2026 to 2028 with the goal of counteracting school absenteeism at an early stage through coordinated and cross-professional efforts. The target group is students in grades 7–9 who are still participating in teaching but show early signs of concerning absenteeism or other risk factors.

The project is an extension of the existing school social team and is organized within the Child and Student Support Unit, in close collaboration with schools, student health, and social services.

The work is based on structured assessments, including ISAP (Inventory of School Attendance Problems), and a working method inspired by SIP – adapted for early interventions.

  • Provide supportive and advisory work towards students and guardians
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the project's working methods

  • Has experience working with children and youth, preferably in schools or social services
  • Has a good ability to collaborate cross-professionally
