MedCUL is now seeking 3 assistants who want to work with pedagogical development within the Faculty of Medicine.
Workplace Description
The Medical Faculty's Centre for Teaching and Learning (MedCUL) has the overarching mission to support the faculty's teachers and management in developing the quality of education. We offer accredited higher education pedagogical training (BHU), workshops, and seminars in medical pedagogy, supervisor training, as well as practice-oriented support for educational programs, program boards, and individual teachers.
The faculty conducts education closely linked to healthcare operations, which means a particular focus on supervision, learning environments, and pedagogical processes in healthcare education.
Our work is based on current research in medical pedagogy and higher education pedagogy and is closely linked to the faculty's quality work. MedCUL consists of teachers, TA staff, and student assistants, and as a team, we work closely together with the ambition that our work should be characterized by collegiality, creativity, and joy at work.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility
As an assistant, you will contribute a student perspective to the pedagogical work at MedCUL and within the faculty. You will lead workshops and discussions with students or staff. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to create and edit materials (film, text, presentations) for digital teaching. You will work with MedCUL's courses together with course leaders to design and conduct workshops for student groups on various learning themes.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- that you are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education according to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Act
- that you are an active student in one of the Medical Faculty's educational programs (term 3 or higher), or alternatively in terms 1-2 of one of the faculty's master's programs
- that you have completed your studies so far without re-registration or outstanding courses
- interest in learning and education and a willingness to engage in pedagogical development work across program boundaries
- the ability to work alongside your studies
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You need to be curious, flexible, and have good collaboration skills. The tasks require that you are willing to learn new digital systems.
Desirable qualifications for the position include:
- experience from VFU/VIL/clinical practice
- previous experience in leading or working on projects
Other
The position is temporary for one year with a workload of 15-20% of full-time, starting on February 16 or by agreement.
