Are you a truly skilled educator who wants to work on pedagogical development alongside your teaching role and be part of the school's strategic management team? Then you might be the one we are looking for as we seek a lead teacher in mathematics for Oxievångsskolan.

Oxievångsskolan currently has four engaged lead teachers in the upper grades and three in the lower grades who are responsible for the pedagogical development at the school on behalf of the management team. The current role focuses on developing mathematics education at the school with a language development and digital perspective. In close consultation with the school management, you will have good conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives for which you are responsible. Your development initiatives inspire your colleagues and contribute to a higher achievement of goals.

At the same time, the main part of your job is teaching. You will conduct a varied, creative, and enjoyable teaching experience for our students, both individually and in teams. You will find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You will plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. As a lead teacher, you will serve at Oxievångsskolan but will also have a partially cross-municipal role by spreading good examples.

Here you are offered the opportunity to influence the teaching at the school while also growing in your role as a lead teacher. As a lead teacher, you will drive and lead your subject team in mathematics while also leading your work team to develop pedagogy and teaching at the school.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics for grades 7–9. It is advantageous to have subject qualifications in all natural science subjects as well as technology. To be considered for the lead teacher position, you must be able to document at least four years of well-rated work after graduation with teaching within the framework of one or more positions in the school system. Furthermore, we would like you to have experience in mentoring other teachers or driving pedagogical development processes.

Experience in applying methods that make visible and increase each student's learning and how digital tools lead to accelerated learning for students is required. Competence in language-developing subject teaching is also a requirement for the position.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

To fit as a lead teacher with us, it is important that you are cooperative and trustworthy as a person, as well as adaptable and open. Additionally, you have an interest in leading while being able to control and guide others from a task-focused and reliable perspective.

The school is beautifully surrounded by greenery and is close to both swimming, sports, and recreational areas. Oxievångsskolan is now one of Malmö's largest primary schools with nearly 750 students. Oxievångsskolan is a K-9 school. The K-6 operations are conducted in a separate building with about 210 students. In a third building, you will find our adapted primary school with about 15 students. We have a large schoolyard with a nice outdoor environment and green areas in the vicinity. The school also has full-time student coordinators and a school librarian. The school invests heavily in sustainable development. We are also an NTA school and use this material in science education. The school places a strong emphasis on analytical work, and as a teacher at Oxievångsskolan, you will have ample time to develop both yourself and collaboratively with your subject colleagues.
