Job Responsibilities

At Malmö Idrottsgrundskola, we are looking for staff for a teaching substitute position in mathematics. As a teacher at Malmö Idrottsgrundskola, you will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the education and development of the students, as well as decide on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 7-9 in mathematics, educating and supporting them in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an asset. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. You also possess good didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with a good familiarity and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you see collaboration and learning as pathways to development and that you enjoy being among students, both in and out of the classroom.

We offer promising youth the opportunity to combine their education with a focus on sports. Currently, seventeen different sports are represented at the school, and all students are admitted through entrance tests. A total of 509 students are enrolled in six parallel classes from grades 7 to 9. All teachers at the school are qualified and experienced, and you will become part of a fantastic team.
