Internationella Engelska Skolan in Helsingborg is a grade 4-9 school. The school is centrally located in the southern part of Helsingborg. IES Helsingborg has approximately 450 students and we opened the school in 2017. The school has been newly renovated with a fantastic character.

We are a bilingual school where English and Swedish are used in daily teaching. We focus on a safe school environment, language development, and providing our students with the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of us at IES Helsingborg and who wants to work in the important role of student assistant. We are looking for an engaged and trained student assistant with a good ability to adapt your approach and pedagogical methods according to the changing needs of the student. It is important that you are unpretentious, flexible, and thrive in a changing environment. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and always have the student's best interests in focus. You plan and organize your work effectively and are keen to create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You contribute to ensuring that a student in need of special support receives an individualized and inclusive approach as well as targeted measures aimed at increased goal fulfillment.

As a student assistant with us, you work closely with the responsible primary school teacher and special educators. You work with a student who needs extra support to keep up with the teaching. Your main tasks therefore involve helping the student to follow along in the lessons and assisting them in finding calm in their studies. In addition, your tasks may also include helping the student practice various everyday tasks, being a support for students during breaks and on excursions.

The employment is linked to a specific student. If the student leaves us, the employment will cease.
