School Social Worker for the School Social Team

Hudiksvall Municipality has established a school social team in collaboration with the education administration and the social services administration for just over a year now.

We are now seeking a school social worker to join the school social team.

Job Responsibilities

The school social team is a group of staff from both the school and social services who collaborate to ensure safety and a conducive learning environment, as well as to increase student attendance in school. The target group for the school social team is students in grades F-6 in Hudiksvall Municipality. By strengthening the opportunities for a successful school experience, the school social team contributes to protecting against mental health issues later in life and various forms of social problems, such as crime, substance abuse, and social exclusion. The work involves collaboration with several different actors. Together with professionals from the central student health services and in cooperation with social services, you will continue to build the operation and support students, guardians, and school units in matters of safety, study environment, and school attendance.

Your Profile

To be considered for the position, you need to be a qualified social worker. You have experience working in schools and can easily build good relationships with children/youth and their guardians as well as colleagues. You enjoy collaborating with others and have a positive, solution-oriented, and constructive approach to your role. You strongly believe that everyone can succeed if given the right conditions. Additionally, you are structured and accustomed to driving development and processes in your work. Further education in CBT or family therapy is an advantage.
