In Sandviken, the world is always present. Here we feel at home and make each other better. As an employee of Sandviken Municipality, you have one of Sweden's most important jobs. Therefore, it is important for us that you enjoy your work and feel that your contributions are valuable to society.

We believe that the way to achieve this is for everyone, whether a manager or an employee, to strive to make each other better. For the best work is done together. Through a holistic view, collaboration, dialogue, and by leveraging each other's differences. As an employer and employees, we work together for a long-term and sustainable working life. This, in turn, leads to a successful and developing municipality.

When we make each other better – we make Sandviken Municipality better!

Are you our new colleague? The investigation unit of the child and youth care is looking for an experienced social worker who wants to contribute with security, competence, and mentorship. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in an organization characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and strong social commitment. We are currently conducting extensive implementation work of Signs of Safety and preparing for the Future Social Services – where we build on what works and develop what is missing.

Within the child and youth care's authority in Sandviken, we have created a new management structure to enable a closer and more sustainable leadership with four engaged and experienced unit managers – each responsible for the reception unit, investigation unit, placement unit, and family home and family law unit.

We offer you among other benefits:

  • holiday exchange
  • annual working hours
  • healthcare allowance
  • health-promoting activities
  • extra vacation days when you turn 40 and 50 years old
  • staff and leisure association Pulsen.

In the unit, we also currently apply one hour of reflection time per day for caseworkers and specialist social workers.

That's why you should choose to come to us! With us, you will meet a supportive team with a mix of experienced and less experienced colleagues where everyone strives in the same direction. Here, there is time for both reflection and quality. We believe in professional development through shared responsibility and learning, and with us, you will have both the space to grow and the opportunity to help others do the same.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The investigation unit is responsible for authority regarding children, youth, and their families. Our main task is to investigate and grant interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 years and to follow up on outpatient interventions. Your main area of work will be within youth case management, but child investigations may also occasionally be relevant.

In your daily work, you will receive support from specialist social workers and the unit manager in both case management and decision-making. With us, collaboration is a core value; we work closely with other units and external actors to create holistic solutions for children and families.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to be a mentor and support for colleagues with less experience, share your perspectives, be a sounding board, and contribute to a culture where learning and quality go hand in hand. Other special assignments may also arise, based on the unit's needs and your personal competence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in authority work concerning children and youth. You are confident in the case management process, familiar with BBIC, and have a genuine commitment to children in vulnerable situations. Since Signs of Safety is a significant part of our work, we hope you have experience and a positive attitude towards involving children's and young people's networks. To work with us, you must also have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and reflective in their professional role. You handle the entire case management process, including LVU, and are confident in your assessments of children's and young people's needs. It is important to us that you have good analytical skills and can make decisions with both heart and professional judgment. We also place great importance on being unpretentious in collaboration with others and want to help your less experienced colleagues learn the craft of child case management. It is essential that you are comfortable collaborating, supporting, and inspiring others in the team and sharing your knowledge and competence. We also emphasize your personal suitability, especially your security, maturity, and ability to contribute to a safe, permissive, and learning work climate. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We may apply ongoing selection for interviews.
