The Department of Individual and Family Care in Sandviken municipality has a functionally divided organization. Within the department's area of responsibility, there is child and youth care, addiction care, financial assistance, and family law, as well as the handling of alcohol permits and strategic work in the areas of public health and safety and ANDTS. The department has a well-developed open care system for children, youth, and their families, as well as for adults.

Within the authority of child and youth care in Sandviken, we have created a new management structure to enable a closer and more sustainable leadership with four engaged and experienced unit managers – each responsible for the reception unit, investigation unit, placement unit, and foster home and family law unit.

We are now looking for a foster home secretary for a summer substitute position in 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The foster home group is responsible for recruiting, investigating, and supervising foster homes, emergency homes, contact families, and contact persons. We work closely with social workers to find the best service providers for our children and youth. Collaboration is a core value for us as we work closely with other units.

Your main task is to assist the regular foster home secretary by participating and relieving in the daily work concerning children and youth and their families.

We work from a systems theory perspective with a developed child perspective, where contact and time with children are prioritized, combined with network work and Signs of Safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are studying, will be, or have already completed your studies in the social work program. We place great importance on your personal qualities. We expect you to be an empathetic and secure person with the ability to reflect. Working with us requires both flexibility and the ability to structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. To work with us, you should also have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
