The unit for financial assistance is located at Första Magasingatan 9, and our unit consists of about 35 employees with various job titles such as social welfare officers, senior social welfare officers, and administrators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social welfare officer, you will have the opportunity to work with governmental authority and contribute to ensuring that society's ultimate safety net functions. Your tasks include:

• Working with governmental authority within financial assistance
• Investigating, assessing, and making decisions about the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL), with support from colleagues and supervision
• Processing cases by reviewing incoming documents and assessing clients' financial situations
• Performing administrative tasks such as documentation, calculations, and payments
• Contacting clients through personal meetings and phone calls and providing a professional response
• Planning, prioritizing, and following up on cases in daily work
• Collaborating closely with the team, consisting of social welfare officers, team coordinators, and administrators

Within the Labor Market and Support, we work with shared responsibility for our clients. You focus on investigating and assessing the right to financial assistance, while our change leaders support the client towards studies, work, or other means of support. The goal is for our clients to achieve self-sufficiency and a more independent life.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of Social Welfare Officer, you will work with governmental authority and contribute to ensuring that society's ultimate safety net functions. You must be comfortable with this role.

• Ongoing or completed education as a social worker or ongoing/completed higher education degree in social sciences, economics, or law
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is advantageous for the position if you have previous experience in case management and/or administrative work and if you are familiar with the operational system Treserva.
