At Hudiksvall Health Center, we welcome adults and children in need of care in various areas. We have over 14,000 registered patients and together we provide standard primary care with medical consultations, district nurse consultations, specialist clinics, child health care, family center, psychosocial team, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy. With a safe and warm approach, we deliver good and close care tailored to each unique patient. We are part of Min vård Gävleborg, which offers digital healthcare services, an important piece in creating more accessible and equitable care.

As one of our employees is on leave, we need to strengthen our team and are looking for a social worker for a temporary position, with the possibility of permanent employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Often, we in primary care are the first point of contact for patients with mental health issues. This involves a lot of collaboration with other medical and rehabilitation staff at the health center. As a social worker, you will be responsible for psychosocial assessments and short-term treatment interventions within the general medical competence area for patients aged 18 and older, dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress-related illnesses, crises, psychosomatic conditions, and more. You will work with needs-based treatments on an individual and/or group level. Our patients also have access to internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy if deemed an appropriate treatment form. The work is independent, and competent colleagues are available for consultation when needed. We are part of the Min vård Gävleborg service, which creates opportunities for digital visits to facilitate communication between care and patients. This position complements the current healthcare offerings and is an important piece in creating more accessible and equitable care.

As a social worker in our psychosocial team, you will work with:

• assessment of mental health issues
• independent psychotherapeutic and psychosocial work
• individual sessions and group treatments
• participating in development work together with colleagues in the psychosocial team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an interest in primary care and working in a team. You act in the best interest of the organization and are open to and interested in the development of the health center moving forward. You are attentive and have an easy time collaborating and communicating with others. We see that you can work both independently and as part of a team, and the work requires you to show initiative and have the ability to drive your work forward effectively. We also see that you have a particular interest in leadership and can work closely with both management and colleagues.

As a social worker with us, you should:

• be a licensed healthcare social worker.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have CBT Level 1 training.
