Workplace Description

Eken Group Housing in Ljusne will transition to the area of Functional Support in the Welfare sector. We need to expand our team in connection with this!

Eken Group Housing offers accommodation for six individuals covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). Eken focuses on individuals over 65 years old, but the individual's needs determine the focus. The overarching goal of the law is that individuals should be able to live like everyone else without being limited by their disabilities. At Eken, you will work with your colleagues to provide the residents with the best possible living conditions based on individual wishes and circumstances. You will work closely with your colleagues, unit manager, nurse, and other partners in the organization.

Your Mission

We assist and support the residents with care services based on approved assistance. The work is based on established implementation plans that describe the individual's wishes, needs, and goals. The work includes providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, and leisure and cultural activities. You will also perform delegated tasks. Other important tasks include developing and maintaining individual abilities and communication, as well as supporting users' self-determination and personal integrity.

The working hours are distributed throughout the day and adjusted according to the needs of the operation.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is trained as a support pedagogue/support assistant or has an approved care and nursing program or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer candidates who have previously worked as a support assistant or have experience in care-related and/or educational work, as well as delegated healthcare tasks.

As a person, you are calm and patient and good at conveying security, have a low-arousal approach, and can handle complex expressions. You are resilient to stress, value collaboration, and demonstrate a professional demeanor towards everyone in your work. You work from a holistic perspective and have the ability to plan and structure your work both individually and in collaboration with others. Furthermore, you need to be able to make your own decisions while respecting decisions made and can perform work on behalf of others. All employees are responsible for contributing to increased quality and safety, seeking new knowledge, initiating development, and reporting deficiencies.

It is a plus if you have experience with PFA, clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches.

The work requires communication and documentation, and computers and phones are used as work tools, so we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A driver's license is a requirement.
