The Department of Individual and Family Care in Sandviken municipality has a functionally divided organization. Within the department's area of responsibility, there is child and youth care, addiction care, financial assistance, and family law, as well as the processing of alcohol permits and strategic work in the areas of public health and safety and ANDTS. The department has a well-developed outpatient care for children, youth, and their families, as well as for adults.

The Financial Unit currently consists of 30 employees. To enable close and active leadership within the unit, there is, in addition to the operations manager, also two unit managers and two team leaders. The unit handles financial assistance, housing social contracts, mediation of own funds, and estate administration. We have a well-functioning collaboration with internal and external actors in the labor market sector.

We are now looking for a social worker for a summer temporary position in 2026.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The work involves processing financial assistance according to the Social Services Act and assisting social workers in meetings and in the processing of other interventions within the unit.

The unit actively works with business development to be able to carry out social work of good quality and to create a good working environment. We want to work in a motivating and supportive way for the individual within the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are studying or have already completed your studies in social work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We assume that you are an empathetic and secure person with the ability to reflect. Working with us requires both flexibility and the ability to structure and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. To work with us, you should also have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and be able to make decisions and stand by them.
