The Economic Unit in Hofors Municipality is seeking a social worker.

Your mission will consist of helping people achieve self-sufficiency. To succeed in this, it is important that you are good at collaborating with colleagues within the municipality as well as externally with the Employment Agency, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Health and Medical Care.

You will meet individuals seeking assistance. You will investigate applications, make decisions, implement decisions, follow up on decisions, and provide advice and support measures.

It is important that you have the ability to work relationship-building and are good at establishing contact with people in vulnerable situations. The work as a social worker requires that you are good at meeting people in crisis and that you have a humanistic perspective with a belief in humanity. The possibility of remote work exists by agreement with the manager and flexible arrangements.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work or equivalent higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as experience in authority exercise. You master a professional approach, are meticulous, and have a desire to meet people in difficult situations. You have good collaboration skills, are outgoing and engaged, can express yourself easily in speech and writing, are flexible, and can vary your tasks according to the needs of the organization and unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

As a person, you are secure in yourself and your profession. You find it easy to build relationships and create trust, and you are persistent and curious about people's differences.

It is an advantage if you have experience in similar work and other relevant training in the field. Previous experience with the operational system Treserva is considered meritorious.

We need you to be stress-resistant, secure, pedagogical, responsible, enjoy collaborating, and have an interest in working in a learning organization.

You need to have a B driver's license as the job may involve travel in the service.
