Social Worker for Placed Children and Youth
Do you want to make a difference for children and youth and their families together with us?
One of our colleagues is moving on to a new position in child and youth services, and we are therefore looking for a social worker for placed children and youth to join our foster care group.
We are an experienced, helpful, and friendly workgroup that enjoys working together. We are now looking for you who want to become our colleague!
As a new social worker with us, you will receive an introduction and training tailored to your needs, providing you with the tools you need for the job and the opportunity to grow into the role. We have continuous external supervision, legal guidance, and regular case supervision. All employees in the unit are part of the Professional Journey, which is an initiative to strengthen introduction and professional development.
We in the child and youth unit care about our employees having a good balance between work and leisure, which is why we currently offer a reduced working hours scheme that means a full-time work week is 35 hours with maintained salary. Currently, this is a trial period (until March 2026). We also offer annual working time, vacation exchange, wellness benefits, and the possibility of agreement on remote work up to two days a week.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a social worker for placed children and youth is a varied and exciting job where you have the opportunity to make a difference.
Your task in child and youth services largely involves following up on the care that the child or youth receives in the foster home and working to ensure that placed children and youth have their needs met. You will be the spider in the web coordinating necessary interventions around the child by having close cooperation with the child/youth as well as with parents, foster homes, and other actors in the professional network such as schools and regions.
We in child and youth services enjoy developing our work and are committed to continuous improvements so that the children and families we meet receive a professional response and legally secure processing. We work according to the Signs of Safety approach, which invites close collaboration with children, parents, and their networks. We are also in the transition to a new social services act. We believe it should be exciting and fun, and in the work to drive development forward, you are important!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and an interest in developing social work and case management for children and youth. We prefer candidates with experience in authority exercise within the target group and who have worked with BBIC and Signs of Safety. Personal suitability is crucial.
