The Family Unit is part of the social services in Hofors municipality, handling cases concerning children and young people. The unit consists of a unit manager, 2 team leaders, five social workers, and two social workers who work with foster homes/family law. The operations also include open care and close collaboration with Hofors Municipality's own project, Trygg Ung.
We are a municipality that collaborates closely with schools and other important actors. The Family Unit in Hofors municipality is part of the Career Journey and its program for introduction and skills development through the best available knowledge tailored for social workers. The operations plan to develop in 2026 with targeted preventive measures and to offer more services without decisions to citizens in line with the New Social Services Act.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Family Unit in Hofors municipality is looking for an investigative social worker. The main tasks are to conduct investigation and follow-up work according to BBIC, Children's Needs in Focus. You will work with authority based on current legislation and always with the child at the center. The work may also involve receiving and pre-assessing reports of concern.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, where a few years of experience working with children and young people is an advantage. You have a clear child perspective in your work and base your actions on children's rights. You should be well acquainted with current legislation, SoL and LVU, and have knowledge of and have worked according to BBIC, Children's Needs in Focus. You have good investigative and documentation skills and take responsibility for following up ongoing measures. A B driver's license is an advantage for the position, as well as experience with the operational system Treserva.
