Welfare Gävle is growing, and we therefore need to expand with more caseworkers. In the investigation unit for LSS and Social Psychiatry, we are currently about 30 employees, and we now need to add more caseworkers for handling within LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, and SoL, the Social Services Act. We work in teams led by a primary caseworker. Meetings within the teams occur weekly. We systematically and actively work on business improvements through focus groups, where your knowledge and participation are valued. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a caseworker for our target groups, your main task is to investigate, assess, and make decisions about the need for support and interventions. You will also work with advice, planning, coordination, and follow-up of decisions in close collaboration with other caseworkers as well as with other actors both internally and externally.

In the unit, we handle the target group of Social Psychiatry and LSS, and you will primarily work within a legal framework. This means that as a caseworker within the legal framework of SoL, the Social Services Act, you will investigate SoL applications for both social psychiatry and for LSS target groups where SoL interventions are relevant, and as an LSS caseworker, you will investigate applications under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or a degree from a social care program who wants to work in a dynamic workgroup where we work in teams and where your knowledge is valued. Experience as a caseworker and from the area of operations or other authority exercise is an advantage. A driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position.

To succeed in your role, you have the ability to follow statutory requirements, policies, and instructions, as well as adhere to set timelines. You possess the ability to see what needs to be prioritized and organized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best possible way. Additionally, you are a good communicator, adapting your language to different situations and recipients. You instill confidence, create trust and reliability. You are good at building networks and creating contacts. For you, it is natural to start from the meeting with customers, relatives, and each other.
