About Viljan Selfhelp

Selfhelp is a treatment center with specialized competence located in Norrala, just outside Söderhamn. Here, therapists, nurses, doctors, and treatment staff work with issues related to addiction/dependency, crime, and mental health. Our clients come from social services, probation, and the correctional system. Our treatment approaches are CBT and the 12-step program.

About the role of Social/Treatment Pedagogue

     We work with commitment in everything related to our clients. The job involves meeting people in crisis and/or with difficult life situations, and it is very important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people in a respectful manner. Together, you will do practical things in everyday life, such as practicing daily tasks. As a social/treatment pedagogue, you assist in contacts with authorities, doctors, and landlords.

·       Main responsibilities:

·        Intake of new clients

·       Documentation

·       Adhering to rules and routines

·       Activities

Qualifications

You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

·       Educated social pedagogue or 400 YHP treatment pedagogue or ongoing education and competence in mentalization theory.

Meritorious:  

·       B driver's license required

·       Experience from HVB

·       Experience from psychiatry

·       Experience working with addiction issues

·       Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

·       Studied or currently studying at the equivalent of YH or university level

Work time: day, evening, or weekend
