Social Worker at Andersberg Health Center

The primary care in Gävle consists of eight health centers (Andersberg, Gävle Strand, Hamrånge, Hedesunda, Strömsbro, Sätra, Södertull, and Valbo). Collaboration between the health centers is an important task that is under continuous development.

At Andersberg Health Center, we provide standard primary care with district nurse consultations, medical consultations, child health care, a psychosocial team, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and home visits. We have specialist clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, and incontinence. For a good structure in the work with sick leave, we have a rehabilitation coordinator to assist us. We strive for good accessibility and evidence-based care. We always want to keep the patient's best interest in focus.

The operation will become part of Region Gävleborg Din Hälsocentral AB, the company for the publicly operated health and child care centers in Gävleborg. The transition will take place on February 1, 2026. Together, we want to develop and shape primary care and create a good working environment for managers and employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Andersberg Health Center, stress-related health issues, crises, anxiety, and mild to moderate depression are among the most common reasons for seeking help. The patient group consists of individuals over 18 years old. The psychosocial team in Andersberg is part of a larger network with other professionals such as psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses at other health centers in Gävle. The work is independent with the goal of fostering a good collaborative climate where we help and support each other.

As a social worker with us, you will work with:

• talk therapy
• assessments
• triaging patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should be flexible, accustomed to taking responsibility in patient work, unpretentious, and have experience working with both individual patient cases and group therapy. You should also be experienced in working in a team when needed around the patient.

In the role of social worker, you should:

• be a trained social worker or have another education considered equivalent or have a license within the relevant profession
• have experience in psychosocial treatment work.

For the position, it is considered an advantage if you have experience in primary care and/or as a social worker. If you have experience or interest in digital health meetings, that is also an advantage.
